How often should an AGA be serviced?
Traditional oil AGAs commonly need servicing every six months, while many natural-gas models need annual attention. Electric schedules differ by model. We use the cooker’s own service instructions, including any separate interim checks, rather than applying one interval to every AGA.
Why is my AGA not getting hot?
On a traditional AGA, poor burner output or incorrect temperature control can leave both ovens and hotplates cool. Electric models need element and control checks. Tell us which cooking areas stay cold and whether the problem appeared gradually or suddenly.
Can you repair an oil-fired AGA?
Yes, we check the burner, oil feed, controls and heat output on oil-fired AGAs. Give us the model and describe any soot or smoke before booking. Stop using a smoking cooker until its combustion and flue have been checked.
Do you service AGA Masterchef range cookers?
Yes, including Masterchef Deluxe models. Their fan ovens, grills, door seals and hob burners need conventional range-cooker servicing rather than traditional AGA burner work. Tell us the fuel type and which oven or burner is causing trouble when booking.
Will an independent repair affect my AGA warranty?
Check the AGA warranty and service requirements before booking work outside its service network. Some cover depends on following the specified servicing arrangements. Keep service records with the cooker details, especially when arranging burner work or replacing electronic controls.
Do you repair older discontinued AGA models?
Yes, older cast-iron AGAs are often repairable through their separate burner, thermostat, element and seal components. We check parts against the cooker and fuel type. A conversion already fitted to an older AGA also needs identifying before work begins.
